Pulse Oximeters, a vital health monitoring tool

A pulse oximeter is a small, non-invasive device used to measure the oxygen saturation level (SpO2) in a person's blood. This handy tool clips onto a fingertip, toe, or earlobe and utilizes light absorption to assess the oxygen level, providing essential insights into respiratory health.

Pulse oximeters are commonly used in medical settings to monitor patients with respiratory issues, such as asthma or COPD, and during anesthesia to ensure adequate oxygen delivery. They have also gained popularity for home use, particularly among those with chronic health conditions or during health emergencies.

To use a pulse oximeter, simply place the device on the finger, ensuring it's snug but not tight. Wait a few seconds for the readings to stabilize, and then read the displayed oxygen saturation level.

A normal reading typically ranges from 95% to 100%.
